Job Description
Overseeing the Membership Department, which is responsible for enrolling new Members into the Club at the minimum performance rate of achieving the Club's Membership Sales Plan for both Dues added and Joining Fees, as applicable, while following the Bell Notes. Primary goal is to develop, organize and implement marketing and sales promotions that will create, optimally maximize and/or increase all of the following as directed by the General Manager and under the guidelines of the Membership Policies Manual and Bell Notes. Liaison with the Member Department in the Club’s Beijing Membership Office. Liaison with the Member Relations Department and other Departments that interface with Membership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Responsible for achievement of Membership Department's sales plan, goals and objectives following all guidelines, policies and procedures.
2. Protect and maintain the Club’s membership policy of “membership by invitation”.
3. By working with Board of Governors and Members, responsible for generating sufficient Invitee inventory to support the Club's sales plan.
4. Maintenance of the prospect database in accordance with standards utilizing the system functionality to stay organized, generate reports, create mail lists, etc.
5. Liaison with Accounting Department of membership processing for membership enrollments, upgrades, attrition, processing of joining fees, establishing Member files, computer input, ordering of membership cards, and informing staff of membership activity.
6. Liaison with Accounting Department on the production of accurate membership report summarizing membership enrollment and attrition.
7. Along with Membership Directors and Member Relations staff make certain an orientation session is conducted for each new Member. The purpose of the orientation session is to familiarize the new Member with the privilege of member sponsorship, membership benefits, events, amenities and services. In addition, to present the new Member with his/her membership credentials.
8. Responsible for timely follow up with new Members for the purpose of acquiring a prospective Member referral in accordance with the established New Member Connect / 12 month retention strategy.
9. Responsible for the preparation of all collateral and documentation for review and approval for all membership programs for the Club in accordance with membership policy and procedure.
10. Liaison with branding company on the creation and printing of membership sales collaterals for prospective members.
11. Responsible for the function of a Membership Committee whose purpose is geared toward the generation of prospects and new Company website approval of Club Owner and General Manager, assist with Member, Board Member and prospective Member communication with regard to membership sales and programming, to be executed in congruence with communications guidelines.
12. Assist General Manager and Club personnel with the organization and hosting of Member Events to attract and retain Members.
13. Represents the Club in city and country activities and organizations (i.e., Chamber of Commerce) to provide awareness of the Club and to develop sources for prospective Club Members.
14. Oversee Social Media Campaign by managing Social Media Manager.
15. Liaison with the Club Owner and General Manager on the implementation of the Club’s public relations plan.
16. Liaison with General Manager and Senior Member Relations Manager on the creation and production of the Club’s newsletter. The objective of the newsletter is to promote features, benefits, services and Member events and activities.
17. Assist General Manager and Chief Club Ambassador with the coordination of protocol associated with the visits of VIP Guests.
18. Interfaces with Board of Governors, Club Management and staff and all Club personnel to enhance awareness of the Club's membership needs and objectives; to solicit support for the attainment of these objectives; and to solicit input and feedback which will aid in the enhancement of Member usage and Member satisfaction levels within the Club.
19. Attend all membership sales meetings, staff meetings and General Employee meetings as established by the General Manager. Work closely with the entire staff at the club to ensure the Members are receiving the best in Member Services.
20. As requested, attends meetings with General Manager and Club Owner regarding the overall progress of membership sales and marketing development and member relations.

1. Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employee Partners are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
2. Adhere to all of the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.

Job Requirements
• Undergraduate degree preferred. Educational concentration in business, communications, journalism, public relations, hospitality management or recreation
• Two years experience in sales, relationship management, customer service, membership associations and/or fundraising.
• Prior experience in leading a team or project to a successful outcome is preferred.
• Knowledge of social etiquette
• High energy, outgoing personality
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong technical literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel and social media
• Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, employee partners and guests.
