The Tax Technology Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing tax-related technology solutions within the organization. This role involves working closely with tax professionals, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the efficient and effective use of tax technology tools and systems. The Tax Technology Specialist will also contribute to the development and implementation of tax process automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, streamline operations, and drive overall tax efficiency.
- Automate workpapers supporting tax processes
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of tax processes
- Manage & improve compliance Alteryx workflows used in the tax processes (i.e., fixed assets/intangibles, apportionment, LIFO, State estimate/extension)
- Manage Tax Planner and workpaper rollforward for estimates/provision/returns
- Serve as a point of contact for tax department specific software & manage annual contract renewals (i.e., Sage, Webhouse, Alteryx & Apps4Pro)
- Monitor and troubleshoot tax technology tools and systems, addressing any issues or inefficiencies
- Develop and implement procedural changes to increase efficiency of tax processes to support tax manual processes and simplify calculations
- Work with accounting to automate reports to support tax processes
- Manage automated data extractions from various ERP systems to support tax processes
- Identify synergies throughout compliance function & other tax functions to eliminate redundant procedures
- Explore the use of AI to improve the tax processes
- Provide process/data support for special projects as needed
- Assist in developing new process to incorporate legislative changes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Solid understanding of tax concepts, regulations, and processes
- Proficiency in tax software systems, such as Corptax, Alteryx, or similar tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are advantageous

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at Company. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$108,700 - $181,100
