The Senior Manager of T&O (Technology & Operations) Finance Shared Service is a leader in the technology finance department accountable to lead the T&O Finance Shared Service team in providing financial reporting and analytic capability to meet the Business and Financial Governance needs for T&O Finance.
Key Accountabilities:
Analysis and Reporting
• Oversee execution of agreed upon components of core financial processes including closing the books, planning and forecasting in support of the Lead Financial Officers (LFO’s) and Group Controllership team (Controller’s team), in accordance with the Bank’s financial governance standards.
• Oversee the production of regular reporting arising from these core processes.
• Drive efficiency in core processes and reporting through automation, standardization, clarity of accountabilities and elimination of lower value add work.
• Partner with the LFO’s and Controllers team to understand and prioritize ad hoc requests for analysis and reporting.
• Allocate resources on the team so as to execute upon the highest value ad hoc requests in a timely manner
• Develop analyses which are responsive to the issue at hand and provide valuable business insight.
• Proactively provide input to the LFO’s and Controller’s team to help the business meet its objectives.
Leadership
• Develop a highly engaged team with strong knowledge of core finance processes, strong analytical capability and relationship skills. Includes ensuring staff are high knowledgeable in the core processes they are performing and have adequate breadth of expertise to leverage scale opportunities that creating a shared service provides.
• Understand the strategic and operational priorities of the business to ensure activities of the team align with these priorities.
• Manage relationships with multiple LFO’s seeking support from the shared service team, to ensure needs are understood, effectively prioritized and delivered upon.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
• Undergraduate degree with an accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA)
8+ years of experience in a Finance function
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of internal control and governance concepts.
• Sound judgment and decisive with an ability to prioritize competing demands by applying practical and analytic approaches to problem solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas to all levels in a clear, concise and compelling manner
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with senior management, team members and other internal/external colleagues
