The Planning and Reporting team at Company plays an integral part in reporting, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning. The role provides an opportunity to work in an engaging, dynamic and fast paced environment, providing direct support to the senior management team. The role will report to Director, Reporting, Forecasting & Planning
Job Duties/Accountabilities
• Spearhead the Company annual Budgeting process and the financial rollup of the three-year Long Range Plan
• Managing timelines
• Liaising with business unit finance primes and BCE Corporate groups
• Creating budget templates for business unit finance primes
• Analyzing specific spend areas across all departments
• Producing comprehensive year-over-year variance analysis
• Tracking risks and opportunities
• Prepare presentation materials for Company senior leadership team
• Prepare financial material for the Company Presentations to the BCE senior leadership team and BCE board of directors
• Prepare below-EBITDA, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts for (1) quarterly in-year forecasts, (2) budget, and (3) three-year long range plan. Act as prime with BCE Corporate team and Company Controllers team
• Prepare monthly reporting package on working capital and free cash flow, including meaningful variance analysis (actual versus budget/forecast)
• Create Company headcount report, including preparation of monthly reports for the Company senior leadership team
• Act as a lead for maintaining BPC, Company’s forecasting and planning tool
• Lead research and analysis for benchmarking Media performance versus industry peers
• Be connected on Results & Forecast to assess impact on trajectory and long range plan
• Assist with special projects on an ad hoc basis, such as consistency of reporting across all Company business units, run assessment and modeling financial impacts of various strategic initiatives.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies
• CPA, CA professional accounting designation
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Relentless attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to create high quality presentations to management
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues and see through to resolution
• Strong ability to partner with various cross-functional groups and management levels
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and balance multiple deliverables
• Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Strong communication abilities
• Ability to drive results while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
