Location: 14010 164th Street, Edmonton
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (Flexibility required)
Specific Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for inventory management, promoting strong service levels and sustaining quality targets. Ensures that incoming product is processed and managed appropriately according to procedure and is available as and when required.
- Plans, schedules and reviews workload to ensure targets are achieved. Analyzes and makes necessary operational changes based on previous shifts’ reporting.
- Plans manpower and equipment requirements for next shifts in tandem with shift supervisors, Director, Operations, and/or Operations Planning Analyst, in order to achieve targets.
- Ensures that responsibilities are defined and assigned to supervisors and employees so as to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Ensures quality standards are enforced throughout the entire warehousing cycle.
- Plays a key role in determining, monitoring and managing KPI’s to ensure safety, quality and on time delivery. Ensures that all targets and KPI’s are met on afternoon, evening and night shifts.
- Prepares and analyzes reports, presentations, data with respect to operations for planning and execution.
- Effectively develops distribution center supervisory teams through coaching, mentoring and training.
- Ensures relationships with other DCs and other departments such as Customer Service, Transportation.
- Ensure that the lines of communication between Director, Operations and other members of management team are kept open and up-to-date.
Main Responsibilities
- Together with the Director, Operations administers policies and practices related to employee relations in conjunction with Human Resources.
- Assists in the enforcement of Security, Regulatory and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) laws, regulations, policies and programs.
- Analyzes operating and delivery procedures, systems and schedules and all other Distribution Centre activities to identify potential efficiency improvements and cost-savings. Recommends changes to the Director, Operations. Implements approved changes.
- Recommends operational strategies for Director, Operations consideration and implements when approved.
- In collaboration with the Director, Operations communicates the Company’s progress and direction to Distribution Centre employees.
- Plans the activities of his/her staff; assesses results and takes appropriate measures to improve performance.
- Utilizes appropriate performance management approach to assess, measure and address employee performance. Develops a high performance workforce
- Promotes and coordinates communication between all departments.
Key Requirements
- 10 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Production background would be an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership within an automated distribution center environment is an asset.
- A college or university degree in business, logistics or supply chain management is preferred; an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and directly related experience may be considered.
- Experience with the application of Six Sigma would be considered an asset.
- Proven history of leading diverse teams towards achieving objectives through collaborative and participatory management practices.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal & written).
- Excellent problem solving/resolution skills.
- Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, AS400

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at Company. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$99,700 - $166,100
