The Company Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology.
The Company Mobility Marketing team is seeking a strong analytics leader to join their team in Mississauga. Working in a fast pace, “always on” environment, this role encompasses performance management, analysis, reporting and planning. The position will develop, support and transform the organization’s marketing segmentation strategy. This position will work closely with senior leadership on reporting, insights and recommendations to drive revenue. It is critical this role works collaboratively with cross-functional leadership and management teams on a variety of initiatives.
Accountabilities:
• Monitor and analyze variances and sales performance trends
• Track and gather insights on industry trends and competitive activities to identify gaps and opportunities in the market
• Play a critical role in monthly sales trajectory planning, outlook and targets
• Identify opportunities to help drive and increase revenue
• Manage and develop marketing segment reporting for the consumer mobile market
• Communicate insights and identify key drivers from data analysis
• Manage and develop one specialist team member
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to mentor peers, and coach teammates as well as one junior delegate on analytical projects
• Relevant degree for marketing analytics (e.g. quantitative, MBA etc)
• 5+ years of quantitative professional experience in analytics or reporting. Ideally in marketing although a financial background is relevant
• Working knowledge of relational data, advanced Excel, statistical measurement acumen. Bonus points for data & statistical programming (e.g. SQL, SAS, R, Python etc)
• Strong market insight reporting and data visualization (e.g. PowerPoint, Tableau etc)
• Strong English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in marketing segmentation. Examples are demographics, ethnicity, geography, product, channel, early adopters and behavioural
• A demonstrated history of conducting market insight that drives change
• Ability to present results of complex analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels (e.g. executive level, managers, specialists)
• Strong strategic, organizational, and analytical skills
• Experience with blending both point-of-sale (POS) data with 3rd party data (e.g. Environics) to derive insight
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
