Senior Manager, Business Analytics, Direct to Consumer - eCommerce
Purpose & Overall Relevance in the Organization
The goal of the eCommerce (eCom) team is to deliver one integrated consumer journey to create a premium and seamless experience so that we not only meet their expectations, but also exceed them while meeting our targets when a consumer leaves our touch point.
Position Summary
The Business Analytics Senior Manager will be responsible for delivering holistic 360 degree insights about the Japan eCommerce business for both adidas and Reebok. The functional areas will span business analytics and all other areas that would deliver relevant insights. Through insights, the Business Analytics Senior Manager would be responsible for local market optimizations in terms of timing and relevance of commercial and brand driven marketing campaigns. The Business Analytics Senior Manager would also be responsible for driving a data driven decision making culture within the fastest growing sales channel within Company. This would be driven by a combination of timely, relevant insights backed by a solid and reliable data analysis infrastructure. Modelling (predictive, What-If Analysis) capabilities would be nurtured within this organization in order to manage decision making under uncertainty within a rapidly shifting sales environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement rigid data governance and data quality guidelines to ensure the best in class analytics key components across different silos include: Key metrics hygiene, Campaign hygiene, Order hygiene, Tracking hygiene, Attribute hygiene
• Continuously enhance the blueprint of the existing online eCommerce data model that will serve as the foundation for all analytical and modelling needs
• Develop and drive the eCommerce analytics working closely with the eCom team and using case roadmap to identify and drive profitability and top line for the Japan eCommerce business
• Design and implement end-to-end advanced Omni-Channel analytics to the newly implemented business models by aligning with Retail, Finance, and Merchandising
• Recommend and drive optimization of Omni Channel features to ensure maximum benefit for the eCommerce business: Click & Collect, Endless Aisle, Marketplace Integration
• Serve key business goals including product, campaign, revenue, and margin optimization
• Drive optimized inventory management to ensure maximum full price sell thru and profitability
• Enhance the framework for order and article level profitability that will serve as the foundation for marketing campaign and range effectiveness
• Develop a self-service analytical strategy with advanced analytics apps to drive decentralized decision making on a variety of What-If scenarios like: Shipping Threshold Analysis, Free Personalization Analysis, Targeted Marketing, Product Cannibalization, Channel Acquisition based on LTV Optimization Analysis, and Activation, Retention, and Churned Analysis
• Actively analyze the ongoing business to provide insights to the senior management team in order to steer the business in an agile manner at a European and a local market level

• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to inside and outside the level/function/organization/clients/vendors, to accept new or modified standards or concepts with divergent interests, and to write and prepare executive-level business correspondences
• Proven leadership and managerial skills; Set clear objectives for team members; Accountable for performance and salary reviews; Provide expertise in supervised area
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Similar Discipline
• Minimum 4-6 years of working experience in eCommerce/Digital Marketing environment – preferably in online apparel or footwear retail
• Strong hands-on experience in diverse BI tools (Tableau, Qlickview, Alteryx, HANA, and MSTR)
• Outstanding problem solving skills to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to various technical and business issues
• Experience of defining a longer term roadmap for optimization across eCommerce business
• Ideally have experience of working internationally and in settings requiring cross-cultural sensitivity
• Excellent English skills and Fluent Japanese preferred
