The Senior HCM Analyst acts as the primary link between the business requirements, and the underlying capability of Workday, ensuring the solutions that are delivered are robust, efficient and deliver the maximum possible value to the business. This will include conducting the analysis of existing business processes, the identification and evaluation of possible business and technical solutions in response to business issues and improvement opportunities, the design of future processes, and the recommendation of options that best fit the business need within the strategic roadmap. This position serves as the product specialist and will build upon and maintain professional relationships with key colleagues/vendors to ensure the services and solutions provided meet our current and future needs. Responsible for managing the integrations, production, and maintenance/upgrades of Workday, including data integrity, organization structure maintenance, and associated analysis and reporting. This role will report to the Manager HR Systems and has no direct reports.
• Key individual owning Workday, responsible for the implementation of all scheduled and ad-hoc releases.
• Creates Workday integrations through the use of Cloud Connect, Studio, EIB templates, or web services calls. Builds integrations with third party tools, utilizing data loading tools such as Informatica and XML.
• Plan, execute, and manage the integrations between Workday and other applications throughout the enterprise.
• Perform basic to advanced configuration, analysis into root cause of problems and implement solutions.
• Manage the development, testing and planning of Workday enhancements. Act as the subject matter expert on Workday functionality.
• Performs code deployment by moving code from lower sandboxes to production environment and addresses functionality and integration issues.
• Communicate upgrade changes, develop testing schedule and understand full system impact of upgrades to ensure workday stability and performance remains the same.
• Communicates status and key business information effectively to both management and internal customers.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments regarding new initiatives, policy changes, benefit changes and more; provides input and advice with respect to HR systems capabilities to support such initiatives. Represent the business needs of HR.
• Serve as liaison with HR, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and other groups to obtain HR and business requirements, define processes and develop/deliver HR systems.
• Maintain, implement and develop business processes documentation, business processes, user procedures, training materials and guidelines. Review and participate in looking over, planning, testing and implementing system upgrades or patches.
• Grant User access; research and find solutions for Workday issues.
• Understand the Workday security model and the architecture behind it. Responsible for security and sox controls compliance.
• Perform vendor management tasks.
• Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to other members of the team.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality service to end users.
Requirements
• At least 2 years implementation experience with Workday HCM.
• Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services, XML, XSLT and REST API’s.
• 3-5 years HRIS management; HR management a plus.
• Experience testing and/or configuring HR systems – Workday preferred.
• Proficient working knowledge of general HR including familiarity with compensation, benefits, core HR, payroll, talent management, and organization management.
• Good understanding of business processes as well as intra and inter-departmental functions and interdependencies.
• Ability to develop strong internal and external partnerships on all levels and lead HRIS initiatives through the organization successfully with internal and external partners.
• Previous Project Management or HRMS/Human Capital Management implementation experience is a plus.
• Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
• Experience using Ceridian Dayforce, ADP, Cornerstone, and Kronos a plus.
• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced/open environment with multiple priorities and changing demands while being responsive to end users and business needs.
• BA/BS in Business, IT or related field.
