Job Description
• Key member of the Learning Services Sales Finance team, to provide financial insights on business results and key strategic initiatives, execution of annual operating plan, and organizational structure. Partner to develop financial strategies and objectives to optimize business performance to achieve annual objectives.
• Supports sales planning, forecasting and general reporting activities.
• Provides financial leadership to insidesales organization to ensure effective spend and budget management, provides business analytics and insights to drive incremental profitable revenue growth opportunities.
• Drive customer profitability by partnering with key constituents to establish annual quotas for sales, spend and profit to achieve the Annual Operating Plan.
• Identifies and drives spending changes to budget/forecast by uncovering opportunities and risks to annual/quarterly plans.
• Liaise with key business partners to develop and/or enhance promotional tools for improved efficiency and ROI.
• Partners with inside sales leadership to develop and implement key KPI metrics/scorecard to drive performance management.
• Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-functional collaboration and process improvement/simplification to ensure superior execution.
• Ensure that the financial terms and conditions for all major transactions are accurate and executed in accordance with company policy.
• Ensure all internal controls are in place and adhered to by all field sales personnel.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting and Analysis
• Deliver standard pipeline and other sales performance reports by department and territory. Ensure reporting is provided to each level of sales management.
• Provide analytics and ad-hoc support to sales management; includes evaluating the effectiveness of new performance metrics.
• Lead the collection and validation of performance data.
• Leverage Company website dashboard and other reporting tools to support sales performance reporting, monitoring and tracking.
• Monitors data and provides analysis to illustrate sales trends, identify weaknesses in current sales execution and support future sales strategy.
Sales Forecasting
• Assist and provide reporting to management in the development and evaluation of rolling sales forecast.
• Engage with sales management to validate sales pipeline and analyze forecast accuracy.
• Work closely with finance organization to support regular forecasting activities.
Field Support
• Answer queries from sales management, finance and other stakeholders and respond in a timely, professional manner.
• Prepare presentations, reporting and analytical support for regional sales meetings and other events as needed.
• Act as a strong contributor to an operating culture that makes possible collaboration, open communications, and a focus on talent development.
Qualifications
Skills and Competencies
• Working knowledge of MS Office with strong Excel skills and Power Point
• Ability to work with complex concepts, analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations while using judgment, experience and industry knowledge
• Ability to show initiative and make impactful decisions with little to no supervision
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to build business partnerships
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial assessments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
• Excellent inter-personal skills, strong communication skills
Education and Experience
• BS degree from an accredited institution in Finance or Accounting
• 3-5 years of experience in finance/accounting with demonstrated proficiency of managing P&L issues, and interaction with a diversified customer base.
• Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Business Objects and Company website are a plus
