We are looking for a broadly experienced Senior Editor to join Company’s Shows & Editorial team in Sweden. You will identify and execute first rate music playlist listening- and programming experiences for a multitude of moods, moments, and genres, demonstrate a passion for performance-oriented analytics, and will have your ear to the ground in the music community, focusing on Sweden. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music!
What you’ll do
• Be part of the team handling the daily music programming and editorial strategy for Sweden.
• Road Manage, present and follow up on strategic bets within Shows & Editorial and represent Shows & Editorial in cross-functional bets within the Company, for Sweden.
• Work with Company’s global editorial team as well as other cross-functional teams, to progress towards various content objectives.
• Identify and substantiate programming- and playlist hypotheses.
• Curate and maintain a substantial number of varied playlists.
• Analyze analytics and performance indicators of your own work.
• Write music articles and conduct interviews around various music and lifestyle topics to support our programming philosophy.
• Build and maintain strong editorial relationships with the Swedish creator community including artists, managers, record label and publishing companies.
• Work from our office in Stockholm.
Who you are
• At least 5 years of experience in the music industry.
• You have a deep knowledge of music and culture, with a focus on Sweden and it’s music marketplace.
• Experience of programming music for tv, radio- or other media networks. Having worked with a broad range of music content is a plus.
• Expertise within the Dance/Urban/Hiphop genres is a big plus.
• You are able to lean on a good reputation and a strong network within the Swedish music industry.
• You are passionate, care about attention to detail and organisation, have a team spirit, strong work ethic, and a friendly, warm attitude.
• Express a genuine interest in the evolution of the playlist format and expanding beyond music into richer media and new experiences.
• Basic Photoshop skills
• You possess a perfect level of written and spoken Swedish and English and you’re also able to demonstrate a strong understanding of - and experience with - Company as a user and fan.
