Reporting to the Editorial Director, the Senior Editor will be responsible for acquiring, developing, and publishing a minimum of 16 books annually in the Business group of McGraw-Hill Professional.
Requirements
A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experiance
• Eight Plus years’ experience in an editorial role in professional or educational publishing
• Demonstrated success in publishing business books for the trade market, global market and special sales market
• Strong knowledge of the Sales and Marketing book markets
• Demonstrates extensive professional and industry (agent) contacts
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)and ability to communicate with top experts in the field
• Ability to develop manuscript, to include making decisions on the content, direction, writing abilities of authors, etc.
• Ability to present strategic plans to senior management
