Overview and Responsibilities

TV Land, home of the hit shows “Younger” and “Teachers”, is searching for a Sr. Director of Social Media and Analytics (reporting in to the VP of Marketing) to join our consumer marketing team and lead strategy, campaign rollouts, data analytics, talent/production relations, publishing and community management, and collaborate closely with our Director, Social Creative and Production, for TV Land’s property-based and brand social accounts.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute organic marketing strategies and rollouts for new and returning series, and network brand page.
• Oversee team of Social Producers.
• Collaborate closely with Director, Social Creative and Production, On-Air Promos Producers and Development team on content development to ensure a cohesive and “social first” strategy and rollout across multiple social platforms.
• Develop department KPIs to serve both platform performance and overall business and channel objectives, tracking overall performance against set benchmarks.
• Interpret and analyze all available data and make timely strategic and tactical recommendations based on insights.
• Support VP of Marketing on paid social campaigns, collaborating closely with Company’s Audience Science Group (ASG) on proposed social media plans and content deliverables.
• Work closely with Integrated Marketing to develop and bring to market viable social media integrations, and deliver against sold-in programs.
• Form strategic partnerships with established and emerging social platforms.
• Stay up to date on and pursue partnerships with the latest analytics tools, vendors and social agencies that will best move our business forward.
• Negotiate and manage select external vendor contracts.
• Manage social budget.
Basic Qualifications
• 7-10 years experience in social media, preferably related to the television or entertainment industry.
Additional Qualifications
• Prior experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Well-versed in major social platforms’ best practices, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter, working knowledge of secondary platforms (Tumblr, Pinterest), with a keen eye for emerging platforms and trends.
• Familiarity with latest paid media product offerings,
• Proficiency in social platform campaign management dashboards and campaign performance analytics.
• Experience and expertise in the following areas:
◦ Leading social campaigns of all types: organic, paid, influencers, and content marketing.
◦ Interfacing with sales and integrated marketing departments.
◦ Briefing and managing workflow with outside agencies, plus possessing a robust database of the best social agencies.
