Company has a new career opportunity for an experienced predictive modeler in our Data and Analytics Center of Excellence. This individual will perform and lead activities related to model risk matters at Company.
Responsibilities
• Lead independent model validation team and projects, including the following efforts:
• Compose test design and oversee the work of validation analysts, including those offshore
• o Build and execute analytics to test risk theories
• Review model documentation and marketing materials
• Incorporate subject matter expertise into the qualitative aspects of validations
• Review and approve validation reports
• Execute on validation deliverables and communicate to various partners
• Review ongoing performance monitoring plans and reports
• Manage analytic process for independent validations
• Research and guide on innovative analytical techniques including alternative modeling approaches
• Participate in the design of new models as a risk advisor
• Develop and enhance Model Risk Management program procedures and standards, and provide guidance to partners
• Collaborate with key stakeholders in marketing, model development, technology, compliance, legal, and business owners
• Respond to client and regulator inquires
• Manage a validation team of highly talented modeling professionals
Position Requirements
• Master’s degree in quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, business finance, computer science or other related discipline with 8+ years of industry experience. PhD in the above fields preferred
• Prior experience with model development and/or validation, as well as complex data and system platforms, required
• Prior experience managing direct reports and multiple complicated projects simultaneously required
• Experience with model risk management and/or compliance highly preferred
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Kean and fast learner
• Strong team player with excellent inter-personal, networking, verbal and written communication skills Extensive experience with SAS, SQL, R and/or other programing languages
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint)
• Detail-oriented, proactive, efficient
