Department Overview
Company’s Corporate Development team is responsible for developing and executing the Company’s acquisition and strategic investment strategies, and leading integrations, thereby driving growth and enhancing our innovation. The team works closely with Company’s senior executives, and Division and Business unit leadership.
The Transaction Management Office (TMO) provides leadership, program management and change management during the M&A lifecycle including the Due Diligence and Integration phases of acquisitions. The TMO works with all internal functions, Business Units, and newly acquired companies to support the acquisition and enable the new business to become a productive part of Company. The TMO is also involved with investments, joint ventures, divestures and other strategic transactions. The TMO provide regular updates to the senior executive team on project status, and helps to collect and retain institutional learnings, as well as industry benchmarks and best practices.
Job Description
• Responsible for the overall success of integrations and enabling businesses to deliver on planned-for results and value
• Provide updates and recommendations on the portfolio of M&A-related projects to senior leadership when requested
• Set and develop the corporate integration strategy, best practices, and change programs for Company, thereby helping to create more value for the company through M&A
• Coordinate all communication between the Corporate Development Deal Lead and the cross-functional teams supporting the transaction; be the central point of contact
• Work closely with Corporate Development and cross-functional teams to assess and plan transactions, execute on due diligence, and drive operational implementation
• Drive the buy-in, support, and mobilization of the necessary teams to own and deliver on programs together
• Drive resolution for all M&A key issues, escalating to executive staff as necessary
• Establish relationships with and comprehensive knowledge of all Company functional areas, to represent and make decisions on their behalf, should they be unavailable to do so
• Support and be a key advocate for the newly-acquired company employees and leadership as they transition into Company
• Evangelize and communicate Company’s integration capabilities, results, and success stories both internally and externally to improve the understanding and perception of Company’s M&A capabilities and the additional value M&A creates
• Provide diligence and integration updates and results to executives and other teams (business results, status, capacity, challenges)
• Drive a continuous improvement culture to accumulate and maintain a record of institutional knowledge and lessons learned
• Design, develop and lead the practice development for the overall cross-functional M&A programs. Including regular cadence of cross-function meetings, practice improvement workshops, roles & responsibilities alignment, and sharing and implementing best practices.
• Regularly interfaces with external counterparts at peer companies with active M&A programs to bring back lessons learned and benchmarks
• Lead the planning, budgeting, and priority setting for the IMO; facilitate priority setting and direction for the overall integration practice with the extended team
• Mentor and coach the TMO and extended team members; develop and deliver the performance reviews for the members
• Chair and lead staff meetings, steering committee meetings, cross-functional off-sites, and other forums
Basic Qualifications
• Education: BA/BS degree, MBA and/or an advanced technical degree is a plus
• At least 3-5 years of direct integration management experience, either as an acquirer, acquiree,
• 10+ years of work experience in high-tech/software industry
• 5+ years of Program and Project Management experience

• Execution excellence – to set aggressive but realistic plans and expectations, manage and resolve challenges, and deliver consistently against planned-for dates, budgets, and business results
• Strong communications skills (oral, written, presentation)
• Ambassador skills – to represent M&A/integration and Company both internally and externally
• People and team management experience and skills; committed to coach and mentor members
