Senior Director, Enterprise Data and Analytics Services.
Senior data management leader for the IT responsible for all aspects of data management services within the enterprise including enterprise data architecture, data lake-development, business intelligence, data warehousing, meta data management, enterprise integration, DB modeling and DB design.
Responsible for design, development, deployment, maintenance, enhancement, executive business socialization of Data Management, architecture, all aspects of enterprise business intelligence & data warehouse, enterprise integration strategy including possible implementation of ESB.
-This includes data for Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management, Data Warehousing, Meta-data Repositories, Operational Data Stores,
-Responsible for managing application DBAs for DB design, physical design, modeling,
-Define short-term (3-6 months) and long-term (12-24 months) roadmap for the portfolio,
-Defines data/information architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects. Facilitates consistent business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, archiving and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security and change management at the enterprise level,
-Establishes and maintains data management and governance best practices and standards, and ensures consistent application of those practices across the organization,
-Develops and continuously refines application vision and roadmap (both functional and technical) for data warehousing and BI solutions, aligning to business objectives,
-Possesses, develops, and applies knowledge of trends, value and use of data warehousing / BI applications, and closely follows the evolution of business models and organizational priorities,
-Ensures data assets are effectively managed across the enterprise. Ensures data is accurate,
-Directs the modernization of analytic capabilities, processes and practices for the company,
-Manages the development and implementation of capabilities to improve, monitor, and audit data quality within the reporting and analytics environment,
-Drive one view of customer & content providing flexible intelligent reporting & analytics platform,
-Define and develop strategy and methodology and identify technology/tools for SOA, EAI, and Information Management,
-Provide expertise in the development of business driven IT strategy in conjunction with Enterprise Life Cycle development and implementation, including strategic support for EA, service oriented architecture (SOA), and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI),
-Identify new opportunities & services to enhance the EAI platform and drive more productivity/revenue,
-Ensures support of key business processes and appropriate levels of integration /Automation,
-Build common integration layer using SOA & ESB,
-Manage & build a team of data, BI & integration architects, designers and implementation managers, developers and BA. This includes resource planning, allocation & forecasting, mentoring, coaching. Create staff development plans to align with organizational and departmental vision. Build a high performing team, foster open communication, transparency, highest level of integrity, trust & collaboration within & across the departments,
-Manage budget for the area including forecasting, planning, rigorous tracking and reporting to the VP of PPAS, IT, business & Finance leadership,
-Manage key vendor relationships including contract negotiations, pricing & evaluation of current & potential partnerships for A+E,
-Ensure that programs, initiatives & projects are delivered on-time and within budget. Manage risks appropriately & plan proactive mitigation,
-Regular status reporting including but not limited to budget, project & support status, resources to the head of PPAS & other executives,
Qualifications
Required Experience:
-Experience in building large scale BI & Integration solutions across multiple business areas,
• Experience building enterprise data lake-based platform, preferably on public cloud such as AWS EMR, Azure HDInsights etc.
-Deep understanding of BI, analytics, integration & data governance,
-Understanding of media domain & applications is a strong plus,
-Experience in datawarehousing tools, ETL/reporting, middleware,
-Experience with Teradata/Netezza, Informatica/Pentaho, Microstrategy, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, Middleware like TIBCO/Mule/WSO2 is highly desirable,
-Ability to drive multiple initiatives, programs and run both strategy and operations across the portfolio,
-Ability to influence and manage relationships across the organization even where no direct line of reporting exists,
-Deep understanding of technology, SOA, agile methodology,
-Ability to run a metrics driven operation,
-Exhibits, models & promotes 7 pillars & vision of the IT team,
-Strong leadership capabilities, being able to motivate, rally & build high-performing teams,
-Collaborative team player. Highest level of communication, information sharing & transparency,
-Financial acumen to manage significant Opex & Capex budgets,
-Strong analytical, problem solving & general management skills,
-Strong change management skills, ability to drive the vision of IT & PPAS across his/her team & business,
-Willingness to adopt change, new ideas, processes. Challenge status-quo and drive creativity, innovation and operational excellence,
-Deep understanding of integrations & BI,
-Exposure to Bigdata implementation preferred; specifically experience with Hadoop and MapReduce implementations,
-10-12 years of experience with at least 8+ years in BI & Integration,
Required Education:
-Bachelors degree is required. Masters degree in Computer Science, Finance or Engineering is preferred,
• 15+ years of experience in software development and software development life cycle - including implementation of governance and architecture models,
-Strong experience building and leading data organizations in mid to senior level leadership roles
