JOB SUMMARY
The West Region has the largest number of customers for Charter Communications encompassing Southern California and Company website main purpose of this job is to plan and direct the regional security function under the direction of the VP, Corporate Security. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing the strategic and tactical planning for the region. In addition, the Sr Dir will be responsible for developing a proactive, predictive risk environment, identifying significant security risks and developing progressive mitigation strategies. Ability to liaison at the most senior levels of federal, state and local law enforcement and corporate partners will be critical in this role.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Senior security executive responsible to Charter Communications regional leadership for all physical security Company websites planning for security operations and activities throughout the Region, including physical security, incident management, executive protection, threat assessments/mitigation, cybersecurity risk identification/support, and awareness programs.
•Develops senior strategic relationships and acts as liaison between Charter Communications and law enforcement agencies, emergency management agencies and leadership at Federal, state and local levels.
•Develop and implement a proactive, predictive risk strategy combining early identification of significant security risks in the region with a proactive mitigation and ongoing surveillance program.
• Acts as a leader in all workplace violence responses, with a specific focus on awareness, education and training for the workforce
•Directly accountable for meeting financial and operating objectives of security projects and operations within the Region
•Cultivates skilled security leaders within the Region by assigning responsibility, managing accountability and providing opportunities for growth
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate for this role will have exceptional communication skills and a high level of executive presence. This role requires Comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system to include federal, state and local criminal statutes and the candidate must have extensive experience managing complex investigations.
• 15 years combined experience managing personnel and process in the military, local law enforcement or corporate security environments. -Extensive experience with progressive security risk management processes and techniques related to physical security, investigations, threat assessment and mitigation.
• Understanding of the complexities of software and networking; how the systems work together
• Ability to effectively manage large complex projects
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion
• Comprehensive understanding of incident reporting and case management
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in area relevant to the security field, Master’s degree preferred
Related Work Experience:Number of Years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge:
•Knowledge of Federal, state or local regulations relevant to the company and data privacy affecting telecommunication service (i.e., PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA)
•Knowledge of the Telecommunications industry
•Working knowledge of incident management system
•Working knowledge of physical security equipment
•Working knowledge of enterprise security risk management
• Certification in related security fields (CPP, PCI, PSP, CFE, CFI)
