Specific details of the senior designer’s role will vary, but common activities include:
• Staying up to date with industry trends across digital publishing and print design.
• Concept and delivery of interactive digital design pages, sites, and ad units.
• Concept and delivery of print layout design.
• Designing mock layouts across digital, print, and social channels for use in pre-sale documents and proposals.
• Design of final post-sale layouts in print and digital across all relevant publications and websites.
• Packaging of digital design for development
• QA of final development output
• Maintaining the highest standards of excellence across all client and public facing mocks, decks, and final deliverables
• liaise with design groups across publications
Additionally, limited art director responsibilities, such as:
• Oversee 3rd party vendors where necessary, such as infographic designers, illustrators, etc.
• Photo research and mood board presentations for use across photo and video campaign proposals.
• Photo selection and retouching notes.
• Suggesting photographer and video directors for use in campaigns.
• On set creative leadership.
Skills required:
This position requires a wide range of capabilities. These include:
• 5 years design experience, preferably in magazine or agency setting
• Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth digital design capabilities across adobe creative suite, video editing a plus
• Thorough understanding of production processes across print, digital, and video.
• Significant industry experience with familiarity of brands and products across fashion, luxury, and automotive.
• Meticulous attention to detail, pixel perfect presentation
• Portfolio of work across print, digital, and campaign
