Senior Design Director, Color & Concepts
Lead the development and management of global color design and innovation. Set the global palettes for all apparel and footwear categories. Engage and work with all major color trend services and develop custom colors that will become signature trends. Drive creation of complementary color deliverables for team sports core colors, key item color and AR color. Work closely with Merchandising and Visual Merchandising to understand and supply direction on planograms and seasonal flow of products. Collaborate with Connected Fitness and Brand Marketing on color storytelling in wearables and technology driven platforms. Work closely with the Footwear, Materials, and Innovation teams to drive from inspiration to commercialization, so that once developed products are adopted, they can be successfully manufactured achieving quality, on-time delivery, and value.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Design, or closely-related field.
1. Eight (8) years of progressive experience in color design.
1. Additional experience must include: developing color pigments; driving head-to-toe color strategies; setting color trends; designing color palettes; developing new color application/color systems; consumer insights research; leading and mentoring color designers; color dyeing and lap-dip process; and margins and cost analysis.
1. Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
