Position Profile:
Position Summary
The BI team supports reporting and data analytics for Company’s UK business. The team plays a key role in delivering a wide range of analytical support including operational data commercial analysis and reporting and learner data analytics. All the BI team engage in data extraction and the servicing of day to day data needs across the business. In addition the team supports and builds dashboards off our own data cube to deliver high quality and robust analysis. The range of analytics is considerable including commercial and market data, operational data and learner data. Hence the role provides an unrivalled opportunity to develop a broad based experience.
Company UK has not historically been a data driven company and this team has helped shift the business to a new standard of analysis and reporting. This means that all members of the team have to be proactive and motivated to unpack complex problems or requirements to deliver outstanding analysis.
In addition Company is rolling out a new CRM (salesforce) and Oracle reporting tools to underpin global reporting. The UK specific data requirements need to reconcile and be aligned to these developments and initiatives.
The head of data analytics will manage this team and help coordinate with other key stakeholders in the business
Key Role-Specific Deliverables:
• Support business units including Schools, FE, PQS and HE for their data and reporting requirements
• Respond to data queries from business units with accurate and reliable data
• Design and build dashboards to support sales and marketing
• Develop a detailed understanding of Company customers and products to inform any data analytics
• Provide insight and analysis as required by senior numbers of the team or other stakeholders
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate these into viable reports
• To learn appropriate software skills, including SSRS and MDX, to build dashboards and reporting environments
• To gather requirements from stakeholders and turn these into wireframes and reporting tools as required under the direction of senior team members
• To be an active team member and support colleagues in their work
• Work with colleagues across the business to standardise data attributes and establish consistency across data sources
• Produce regular data reports and dashboards to inform decision making

Qualifications
Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential:
• Degree level qualification in a numerate or structured subject
Desirable:
• Professional qualification in data management, Finance or Business
