Working within the function of legal compliance, work closely with other legal professionals in Company VUE, internal and external customers, vendors, and other third parties, the Sr. Contract Administrator plays a role essential to the successful execution of the core legal protections needed by NCS Company and its Company VUE business including the authority to negotiate contracts of significant impact with regulatory and professional clients.
The Sr. Contract Administrator is responsible for fulfilling various tasks within the legal team from contract negotiation with regulatory and professional clients, contracts review; issue identification; contract proofreading, additional legal projects; monitoring of business practices for legal and contracts compliance; to management of the contract workflows. The Sr. Contract Administrator is also responsible for organizing and maintaining signed agreements, associated forms and legal documents, and existing agreements with sponsors, service providers, and consultants.
This position is officed in Bloomington, MN and is not a remote/tele-commute position.
Responsibilities:
• Negotiating professional and regulatory contracts with clients, reviewing, issue spotting, formatting statements of work, amendments, agreements, notices, and other legal documents, and the communications necessary to support their administration
• Coordination and support of legal team regarding RFPs, risk management and insurance certificates, and other RFP required documentation
• Workflow management and internal communication in support thereof, to include general administrative tasks and scanning
• Legal document administration
• Other special legal projects as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• 3+ years experience negotiating and revising contracts of significant financial impact to a business
• Bachelor Degree or J.D. preferred
OR
• Equivalent experience in contract negotiations, administration and contract review
• Experience in contract administration (issue spotting, contract management, legal support, and contract preparation)
• Experience with Microsoft Word and other data management software
• Experience in contracts and other legal documents, letters, and proposals reviewing with regard to legal sufficiency
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Solid understanding of the contract/legal process (scope of agreements; negotiations with clients, implications, use and interaction of various forms and templates; principles of risk and legal compliance)
• Excellent writing and proof reading skills
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to maintain accuracy and precision in drafting contracts
• Awareness of deadlines and ability to meet or exceed them
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent PC skills
• Effective time management and priority setting skills
• Strong organizational skills
