MasteringPhysics is an online homework and tutoring system for university physics. Company Education is seeking an individual with a background in physics and/or astronomy with significant experience teaching undergraduate or AP high school physics courses to assist in the development of content for our sophisticated system. The Mastering platform administers problems with a rich structure of hints and sub-problems and collects extensive data on how students learn as they work through each problem. Responsibilities include assisting in selection, training, and support of content writers/vendors, assisting editorial teams in the development of content plans, working with editorial teams to set standards and guidelines for content, including art, style, and notation, coordinating and tracking all stages of the development schedules, and reviewing content for accuracy, pedagogy, consistency, and overall quality.
The physics content developer will also analyze student interaction data, and then use this data to revise and improve content, help to define, implement, and document pedagogy standards, create content templates for other content providers to follow, help to define product requirements in support of delivering superlative content.

Qualifications
Solid knowledge of university-level Physics and Astronomy (MS/MA or higher in physics education preferred).
Significant experience in teaching at the AP high school level, college undergraduate level, or above.
Ability to communicate clearly and fluently in good English, both written and verbal.
Ability to give clear feedback to authors and other members of the authoring team.
Organization skills and ability to track details.
Computer literate.
Experience working in a corporate environment a plus!
