The University of Wyoming is accepting applications for the position of Senior Associate Athletic Director. The successful candidate will serve on the Athletic Department’s Senior Management Team.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Oversight of designated sports programs and/or departments (e.g., Sports Medicine, Sports Performance, Training Table, etc.);
- Oversight of all matters related to diversity/inclusion, gender equity, student-athlete well-being and Title IX;
- Assisting with development and review of all departmental policies and procedures; and
- Assisting with other duties/projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics/Designee
The projected start date for this position is December 1, 2017. The position will remain open until filled. This is a full-time (12 month), benefited position. At a minimum, successful candidates must have:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong written communication skills (as demonstrated in application materials)
• A minimum of 5 years of full-time administrative, management and/or collegiate coaching experience
• Applicants must possess Valid Driver's License with a motor vehicle record that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy Found at: Company website-Vehicle-Policy/Company website.
Desired Qualifications
Further consideration will be given to candidates who possess:
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Master’s degree in related field.
• Experience at the NCAA Division I level.
• Knowledge of Title IX and gender equity matters and experience with various diversity-related approaches/initiatives.
• Experience with developing/implementing student-athlete well-being initiatives/programs including, but not limited to, nutritional programming and training table oversight
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
