Company’s security team is seeking a motivated and self-driven security vulnerability administrator to join its ranks in Irvine, CA. The security vulnerability administrator is responsible for implementing and supporting security systems and information management initiatives. This specific position will have a focus on vulnerability and patch management.
In addition, this role will provide support for the penetration testing team, assisting in scans and web application testing.
The individual will assume the role of Abathur, maintaining the Swarm’s evolution chamber to ensure that our defenses are continuously enhanced.
Responsibilities
• Deploy and administer vulnerability management tools, conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate with appropriate parties on remediation.
• Manage and refine patch deployment methodologies, with an eye for operational impact.
• Identify, research, and provide remediation steps for vulnerabilities.
• Update and maintain the security technology stack from endpoints to the perimeter, and explore ways to increase efficiency.
• Document, track, and communicate solutions to a wide variety of security challenges.
Disciplines / Specializations Preferred
• Significant experience managing and administering vulnerability scanning and patch management programs leveraging enterprise caliber tools
• Strong systems and network background with an emphasis in security configurations and hardening
• Highly motivated and self-driven, capable of contributing within a team as well as working solo with little instruction
• Understanding of application security and OWASP Top 10
• Understanding of the common vulnerability scoring system (CVSS) and common attack vectors
• Strong communications skills
• Advanced scripting capability
Pluses
• Bachelor’s Degree in CS, or equivalent field experience
• Industry / technology certifications
• Passion for video games, and most importantly safeguarding them
