PRH Grupo Editorial - Sales Manager
REPORTS TO: President
POSITION: Full time
LOCATION: Miami
JOB DESCRIPTION:
SALES:
• Actively generates sales for front list and backlist titles with the objective of meeting assigned Sales and Returns Goals
• Develops and maintains excellent relationships with existing customers
• Operates as the lead point of contact for any and all matters related to the assigned customers
• Searches for and opens new customers
• Produces Sales forecast as needed for assigned customers and titles
• Coordinates with Logistics Operator all matters related to the account and orders of assigned contacts
• Works with Marketing staff to select product and write or select copy to be included in sales tools such as catalogs, ads, etc.
• Works with Marketing department to develop marketing plans for strong titles
• Negotiates co-ops agreements with assigned customers
• Handles sales of books for all local events or coordinates with bookseller for events out of town
• Travels to see customers and attends genre-specific trade shows and conventions throughout the year, often on weekends
• Keeps Travel expenses within Travel Expenses Budget. Prepares Expense Reports
• Handles special projects as they arise
PRODUCT SELECTION:
• Responsible for selecting titles for publication in the US from pub plan of sister companies in order to attain specified revenue goals for assigned imprints
• Creates and maintains Pub Plan for assigned imprints
• Calculates suggested list price for titles in assigned imprints following company guidelines to ensure maximum profitability
• Calculates initial print run and reorder quantity according to sales forecast for assigned customers with the objective of maximizing sales and minimizing inventory cost and obsolete product
Minimum requirements include:
• Four-year college degree
• Three to five years in a sales representative role; within industry preferred
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Advanced use of Excel desirable
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Ability to analyze sales data and trends
• Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
• Ability to travel as needed, mostly within the US and Puerto Rico
