Sales Assistant - Veranda
Veranda is looking for a Sales Assistant in New York to support 1 Associate Publisher + 3 Sales Directors in an administrative capacity.
Some of the main job responsibilities include: competitive analysis, positioning reports, organizing and scheduling appointments, sending out issue letters (mass mailings, monthly letters), maintaining the comp list, putting together media kits, and completing expense reports as well as some general administrative duties - filing, faxing, answering phones, copying, messengering, making reservations (spas, restaurants, etc.), scheduling appointments/travel arrangements, and ordering supplies.
Requirements/Skills/Experience
•Bachelor’s degree
•Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; Salesforce experience preferred
•Excellent communication skills, especially written
•Must be a self-starter
•Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
•Must be absolutely responsible, reliable and punctual
•At least 1 internship experience in a corporate environment within a media company with exposure to ad sales or marketing (magazine or ad agency experience preferred)
