Job Summary:
Katz Media Group’s STAR (Strategy, Analytics and Research) Team is focused on building business strategies and actionable insights that grow opportunities for marketers to reach consumers where they live. The STAR Team provides clients with cutting-edge analytics, insights and approaches to business issues. The team is diversified across three core areas: Marketing Strategy, Station Solutions and Content Strategy.
Currently, the group is seeking a passionate, articulate and proactive Assistant to support the EVP of Strategy, Research & Analytics and entire research team at Katz Media Group. This individual is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative and project management support to the EVP and her staff. The Assistant position requires attention to detail, organization, strong communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a positive can-do attitude, ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work with many dynamic personalities. This position is located in New York City.
Responsibilities
• Provides a comprehensive range of administrative tasks for the EVP including, but not limited to managing an active calendar of appointments, organizing internal and external meetings, submitting expense reports and arranging travel arrangements.
• Coordinates all logistics for team offsite meetings and department special events.
• Manages the processing and remittance of all invoices for research services.
• Monitors the department expenditures to make sure they are aligned with the department budget
• Participates in brainstorm sessions for a variety of research projects including, content creation for Our Media, the company’s proprietary research panel.
• Manages and updates client and agency distribution lists for marketing materials including, but not limited to: insights, opportunities and content matters.
• Uploads research materials to applicable company websites.
• Compiles market and television program reports for major TV sweep periods.
• Updates contact lists for content strategy group.
• Provides research on a variety of topics and develops presentations.
• Works collaboratively and effectively with all internal departments including sales and management.
• Maintain files for EVP and depository of team decks
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years supporting, preferably in media industry
• Experience and interest in media research, data analytics or data science is a plus.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Strong written, verbal and analytical skills
• Demonstrate solid attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with Katz staff and clients
• Enthusiastic team player with dedication and eagerness to learn.
