Job Details
The Rope Access Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing Company’s rope access program. This person would be knowledgeable, experienced, and capable of managing a national rope access program, primarily for bridge / structure inspections including matters relating to safety, training, regulations, staffing, scheduling, equipment selection, promotion, marketing for growth , and other program responsibilities. The Rope Access Program Manager will work closely with, and report to, the National Structures Inspection Program Manager to prioritize individual responsibilities within this framework and promote collaborative and technical excellence in Company’s structure inspection services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with rope access personnel and project managers to plan and develop scope, schedule, and budget for pursued opportunities.
- Proactively seek and research new geographies, clients and markets for Rope Access growth in accordance with company Strategic and Tactical Action Plan development and execution.
- Work with the National Structures Inspection Program Manager and other program managers to coordinate and delegate cross-project resourcing.
- Work with UAS program managers and pilots, as necessary to coordinate and provide Combined Access (RA and UAS) needs.
- Provide guidance and training on safety, equipment, and access techniques required for project deliverables.
- Updates and enforces rope access policies in collaboration with the Rope Access Senior Advisory Council and Company’s Safety Council.
- Establish work plans for large and complex projects, forecast, and arrange staffing to meet the needs of the portfolio of projects, and work with subordinate staff to ensure the timely delivery and risk mitigation to projects.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining client relations, acting as a strategic partner with clients, and working cross functionally with other leaders to ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating rope access staff on issues such as performance feedback, technical guidance, and client relations.
- Prepare program and project reports, analyses, and strategies for management.
- Identify needs for additional rope access hires, advertise and be involved in reviewing and interviewing rope access candidate qualifications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline required
- Active Certified Team Leader per CFR 650.309(b)
- Successfully passed NHI – NSTM training course 130078 or 130078A
- Minimum of 7-10 years of bridge or structure inspection experience, of which at least 1-2 years was spent leading development and growth of Rope Access-related business.
- Active SPRAT/IRATA Level 3 or ANSI Z459.1 - Qualified Person understanding of core competencies.
- Experience with influential leadership of diverse and remote teams preferred.
- Professional Civil / Structural Engineer preferred.
TRAVEL
- Travel for management meetings, conferences and climbs: up to 30%.
COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
