We are seeking a Retention Marketing Manager to be responsible for all facets of Company and Soompi’s retention marketing strategy and execution including creative management, segmentation strategy, loyalty programs and transactional notifications using email and app push notification platforms. This is a high visibility role and requires partnering with management and peers to identify, understand and make recommendations on key business issues. This position will report to the Growth Manager. Essential responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
• Own and execute lifecycle marketing strategies for email and app push notification to drive web traffic, convert subscription, increase community engagement and reduce churn
• Manage email and app push calendar, send volume and define cadence based on performance testing, internal learnings, best practices and industry trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Content Programming, Content Marketing, Sales and Product teams to support their initiatives
• Perform customer analysis, segment customers into meaningful and actionable cohorts, conduct A/B and multivariate tests, establish reporting infrastructure, track and analyze performance and communicate results
• Test and optimize program elements to continuously improve KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, unsubscribe rates and subscription conversion rates
• Test email templates and messaging construct to identify the optimal creative approach
• Create weekly reports for Company and Soompi while providing actionable recommendations and effectively communicating across all levels of the organization
• Set the vision for channel measurement and analytics, ensuring we are appropriately measuring performance and impact
Skills & Qualifications
• B.S. or M.S. in Marketing or similar applied field
• 1+ year(s) in an email marketing position
• Proficiency with email tools and CRM platforms
• Basic HTML knowledge (CSS is a plus)
• Experience with push notifications is a plus
• Excellent writing skills, both professional and creative with the ability to write in different styles and tones in order to reach a variety of audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Must be excellent at using data to power marketing decision-making
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment
• Passionate about Asian entertainment content (Korean dramas, K-pop, Chinese films, etc.) is a plus
