Job Description

Summary:
In collaboration with the project manager and the analyst responsible for the study, the primary role of the research moderator is to gather and compile data from studies conducted by the user research laboratory. The holder of this position is also responsible for recruiting participants according to a predetermined profile of subjects for these studies.
Responsibilities:
• Production and collection of observations related to the usability of the game and the participants' gaming experience;
• Conducting individual, directed and semi-directed interviews with participants;
• Administration of feedback questionnaires on the gaming experience;
• Participation in daily reviews with the test analyst;
• Telephone recruitment of test participants based on a pre-established target profile;
• Participation in the compilation of the results (pre-processing of the data);
• Review of the test tools (recruitment filter, note-taking tool, questionnaires ...);
• Any other related duties required by the Project Authority or Team Leader.
Qualifications
Education:
College-level training or equivalent.
Bachelors degree in cognitive psychology, ergonomics, IT or other equivalent training or experience is considered an asset.
Level Design or Game Design training is considered an asset.
Relevant experience:
• Proficiency in set-up for the different game consoles for solo and multiplayer testing.
• Good knowledge of the video game industry is required.
• Good knowledge of MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of user research is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of individual interviewing techniques is considered an asset.

Knowledge:
• Solid knowledge of the video game industry and of the games released by competitors;
