Position Overview
- Part Time: Approximately 16 hours per week; 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with some flexibility
- Monday – Friday
- Assume the role as the expert clinical resource for clinical staff and healthcare providersin the inpatient and outpatient settings to include support groups.
- You will plan and coordinate education and care of patients/persons with diabetes across a continuum in collaboration with other disciplines, community agencies and Company subsidiaries.
- You will provide patients and their families education to promote wellness and prevention of complications associated with diabetes.
Minimum Qualifications
License / Certification
- Registered Dietician (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Bachelors Level Degree in Dietetics
Experience
- Internship of less than one year is acceptable.
- Must have completed a Dietetic Internship accredited by the ACEND as part of your educational preparation.
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) required within 2 years of hire.
- Expert skills in diabetes patient education/care.
- Ability to perform all interventions and procedures necessary to care for diabetes patients.
