DESCRIPTION:
The Promotion Coordinator is responsible for coordinating station and sales driven promotional efforts including:
• Work with stations promotion staff
• Manage stations promotional vehicles
• Assist in Managing stations merchandise inventory
• Assist with all station day to day promotional activities
• Assist with the management of station’s on-air promotional inventory
• Assist with station’s on-air contesting
• Coordinate station remote broadcasts with sales, marketing and programming staffs
• Uploading all station(s) event photos to shared drive
• Set weekly promotional schedule for promotion staff
• Writing on-air promos
• Assist with online event updates for station websites
• Research, organize and communicate all station(s) sales appearances
Potential candidates will possess at least two years of radio experience with a promotion & events background and have an understanding of radio sales.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will also possess the following:
• Positive and proactive attitude, creative ability and strong promotional intuition and presence
• Resourcefulness
• Full understanding of marketing / promotion procedures
• Superior verbal and written skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to work some nights and weekends
• Computer literate - Familiarity with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Photoshop
• Ability to juggle several tasks / projects simultaneously
• High energy & creativity level
• Familiarity with the entire New York metropolitan area
• Bachelor's Degree Required
