About the role
We are now seeking a project Infrastructure Project manager to join our friendly team on a 12 month-fixed term contract initially. We are seeking a Project Manager who has previous experience in managing infrastructure projects (IP Telephony, Network, Service Management, Identity Management, Contact Centre or Data Centre). This will be a role that will suit someone who is passionate about working closely with your customers and stakeholders to deliver the best outcome for them.
Skills & Experience
- Delivering end-to-end medium to large, infrastructure-based projects.
- Building productive customer and service provider relationships.
- Utilising MS Project and similar project tools.
- Working effectively with industry partners and third-party ICT suppliers.
- Managing relevant issues, risks and changes within the project
- Planning, scheduling and controlling, Implementing and directing the resources, people, funding and facilities to achieve the client’s objectives.
- Understanding of project management methodologies – Prince 2/Agile/PMBOK
Responsibilities
- Takes full responsibility for the end-to-end management and coordination definition, documentation, and satisfactory completion of projects.
- Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and provides regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
- Undertake consultation with stakeholders to ensure that objectives and requirements for the successful completion of each phase of the project are fully understood and will be delivered.
- Ensure regular communication with all project staff to identify potential problems, formulate recommendations, solutions, and reports.
- Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
- Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, using feedback to assess and promote understanding of the need for future changes in services, products and systems.
- To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, presentation skills. Whilst being able to build rapport quickly and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of a complex environment.
