Company is seeking a West Group Program Manager of Branded Content. The ideal candidate has a passion and aptitude for branded content production, is creative, organized and adept at strong client service. In this position, you will ensure all branded content projects and campaigns are efficiently and effectively executed across the West Region and embody our point-of-view as a creative agency with an editorial voice.
This position works directly with our West group teams and other Company partners on content workflow, sales enablement and customer reporting. This individual will also serve as the internal expert and thought leader on branded content executions to advise on best practices, troubleshooting and optimization. The ideal candidate has exemplary communication skills, flawless project management and an understanding of how to work within a matrix to effectively execute and enhance branded content capabilities for our sales organization and clients.
Responsibilities of the role include:
• Enhance and adopt day-to-day branded content campaign workflows and overall program timeline for stronger sales execution.
• Serve as the liaison between the Get Creative studio and local sales leadership to provide updates on capabilities and tools, including segment toolkits, content libraries with customizable pieces, content calendar/grids, audience building profiles, sample quizzes and infographics that fit into the segment.
• Collaborate with Get Creative and freelancers to create agency quality branded content solutions to help tell better stories that support the brands in more creative and interesting ways, such as video or infographics.
• Partner with Group Sales and Client Strategy to help identify target segments and clients for branded content revenue.
• Establish a suite of freelancers to supplement client-provided content to ensure quality story creation that resonates with customers’ target audiences. Orchestrate workflow between freelancers and local markets to ensure execution and delivery of content that can be scaled across group.
• Understand Presto capabilities, audience content planning (understanding what resonates in the local market), content editing training/review- what is “good content”, and deep level analytics and social metric reporting. Understand content success.
• Learn and teach best practices and workflow for sales, client strategy, client services and news.
• Create and scale customer reporting templates that articulate campaign results and business objectives.
• Work with client services to utilize A/B testing and other data-driven methods to maximize traffic to and interaction with branded content.
• Participate in prioritized client sales calls and onboarding calls to communicate best practices for sponsored content, assess program objectives, ensure execution aligns with client objectives, and provide insights and recommendations.
• Track success of branded content programs, compile results and provide recommendations for future programs, with the ultimate goal of program renewal and incremental revenue.
• Compile cross-campaign insights, learnings, and best practices and present to stakeholders across the company to identify pre- and post-sale improvements and return on effort.
• Stay abreast of content marketing and native advertising trends to best service existing accounts and develop new relationships.
The ideal candidate has:
• 5+ years of account or campaign management experience at a major publisher or agency
• A proven track record of communicating and collaborating with brands and their agency partners to execute multi-platform custom branded content or marketing programs that include custom print, digital, event and/or consumer promotions
• Superior organizational skills, deadline-driven, metrics oriented and proactive
• Critical thinking skills, can see the larger goals of a project without losing sight of important details
• Tactful approach to dealing with creative teams, freelance talent and clients
• Experience with Presto, Adobe Analytics, digital ad technologies and executions preferred
• Excellent customer service in written and verbal communication
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to embrace a startup atmosphere and wear multiple hats
• Ability to think outside-the-box
• Experience using social media, search engine optimization and HTML preferred
• A bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, marketing, or other related field
