About the Role
We’re looking for an extremely organized individual to build and lead the Knits and Fleece Production Team. You will be responsible for the development, execution and communication of the production strategy. As the Knits and Fleece Production Manager you will create and execute the strategic direction for multiple sub categories of businesses. In addition to working with cross-functional teams, including the Technical Design Team, Buying, Planning & Allocation, you will manage the activities and career development of the Production Team.

Product Strategy Management
• Assess assortment demands and plan the necessary resource requirements to execute
• Propose production strategies that support new merchandise direction and/or improved financial targets
• Establish category quality standards and enable compliance across all vendors
• Propose and execute new ideas and initiatives to support continuous quality enhancements to product and generate cost savings
• Identify fabric/yarn position and consolidation opportunities to drive cost savings and collaborate with cross functional teams (i.e. Buying & Planning) to carry out
• Establish quality control standards with vendors and enable internal teams to manage
• Manage quarterly pipeline ensuring all teams meet required deliverables and secure on time delivery and quality product execution
• Effectively manage the various vendor timelines and negotiate acceptable revised schedules
• Review department forecasting and determine appropriate vendor allocation
• Develop capacity plans for product vendors and communicate with internal teams to ensure alignment
• Create and maintain an organized T&A calendar/schedule to properly track the monthly assortment and effectively communicate to all teams ensuring on time delivery while maintaining quality and desired aesthetics
• Partner with vendors to create fabric strategies where appropriate
People and Relationship Management
• Recruit, hire, and develop the Category Production Team
• Identify and create valuable partnerships with new and existing vendors
• Effectively communicate and manage expectations with cross functional teams
• Coordinate and update key partners in Technical Design, Buying and Planning, Marketing and Creative, throughout the development and production cycle
• Provide ongoing product trend and forecasting guidance to all vendor partners regarding evolving brand direction and to ensure continued success in scaling
Financial Management
• Set, align, and communicate departmental goals that reflect macro and assortment trends to key stakeholders
• Review business management reports by category and by vendors to make appropriate recommendations and/or necessary negotiations that drive business results
• Establish key performance indicators relative to Production and partner with cross-functional teams to develop corresponding management reports (i.e. adoption rates, on time shipping, sampling, quality metrics, etc.)
• Coach and support the team in achieving financial goals
• Influence business partners to minimize and bring resolution to financial liabilities
• Ensure departmental financial target inventory plans are met

• You have a BA/BS in a related field with 5+ years of experience in knits/fleece production and management
• You have experience and are comfortable working with vendors and other external groups
• You are skilled in project management and proficient in MS Office
• You have strong negotiation skills

• You are a creative problem solver, smart, driven and excited to learn new skills
• You have knowledge of fabric/trims and garment construction
• You are an excellent communicator and are a great team player
