The ideal “foot-in-the-door” part-time position (approximately 30 hours per week) to work at Cleveland’s #1 station on the nationally recognized and #1 in the country entertainment/talk/travel/food program, “New Day Cleveland.” This “hands-on” role will entail involvement and participation in all aspects and duties associated with the of production of “New Day Cleveland” and other related local programming at WJW Fox 8.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in studio during all live productions including arranging and movement of props, staging, set-up/tear down and post-show clean up.
• Welcoming and preparation of scheduled guests and guest-related communication, needs and accompaniment.
• Assist in-studio floor director, show hosts and producers during live show as needed and instructed.
• Coordinate viewer and in-studio guest communications including contesting, booking, arrival times, phone calls and additional electronic correspondence via all forms of social media.
• Run teleprompter during live in-studio productions as needed.
• Participate and assist producers and videographers during on-locations shoots in all related aspects of production including transportation/movement of equipment and related duties.
• Coordinate, oversee, compose, post, edit and display varying subject matter and video clips related to New Day Cleveland on station website and other social media platforms.
Qualifications:
• College degree in television production, communications or a related field is desired.
• Studio production experience via either college and/or internship experiences is a plus.
• Previous professional television experience is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and writing skills are required.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to both detail and deadlines are a must.
• Ability to work well and in concert with others in rapid developing, stressful and changing situations.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
