Production Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY:
Support creation and communication with vendors of production spec, PO production details for neckwear and cold weather accessory products, and other day-to-day production functions
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Create and update Spec Diagrams, Trim Packs for neckwear and cold weather products
Maintain and update production related information posted on Company Neckwear vendor logistic portal, liaison with Corp IT to set up vendor access
Support Associate Production Manager to maintain high accuracy and consistency in PO attribute and PO attribute note pad built, call out and resolve insistencies
Maintain spec library, ensure accuracy of shape prototypes filed
Maintain and update tie lining binder, keep samples, vendors, pricing up-to- date
Follow up on mill Purchase Orders issued by Merchandising Department, make sure PO detail sheets will be sent out to the vendor within 48 business hours after PO’s are issued, follow through questions from the vendors
Responsible for creating and sending vendors Cold Weather PO detail packets
Support Associate Production Manager to train new Production Assistant, temp, intern as needed
Back up on other department functions as needed
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:
Internal: Merchandising Department, Sales Service Department, LA Manufacture and QC team, LA Warehouse Distribution Team, Company Shenghzhou Office team, Design Team
External: Vendors, Factories
DECISION MAKING:
Provide suggestions to upper mangers on new tech packs, production specification needs for new product category
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:
Detail oriented, high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational skill
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines
Fast learner, flexible to adapt to procedure/program changes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external contacts
Must possess a positive attribute with a sense of urgency in completing assigned tasks
ENVIRONMENT: General Office Environment – must be able to work overtime
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: Minimum 3 or more years of experience in apparel, or soft goods merchandising, production
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Skills:
Working knowledge of Email, MS Office Suite
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a must
Basic knowledge in Adobe Photoshop
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
