Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Production Coordinator
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily operations, issuing purchase orders, and tracking production on a regular basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Research raw material development to meet price, aesthetic, and quality needs. Issue purchases orders and track production on a regular basis. Troubleshoot orders, enter and follow up on internal orders to pull and return stock pieces to warehouse. Monitor and ensure all pre-production approvals are on schedule such as but not limited to: lab dips, approval sample and bulk lots. Develop weekly production reports and status updates. Attend necessary pre-production and production meetings. Communicate and negotiate with vendors and factories to ensure on time deliveries of finished goods into the warehouse. Prepare end of season shipping report.
Monitor MPR300 WIP Tracking Report on a regular basis for accuracy. Monitor garment Production by actively studying and challenging work in progress report. Track production deliverables and status to proactively identify issues, propose solutions and align with cross functional teams on a resolution that will minimize risk. Review change/cancel requests to determine if actionable based on production status. Follow up with vendors to ensure that ship or delivery dates are on schedule. Enter and maintain notes regarding discounts, delays & logistic updates. Close open balances. Support the vendor projection process by providing vendor allocation by style and variance explanations.
Performs other duties as assigned and requested. Proactively identify issues, provide creative solution options and work collaboratively to resolve issues. Track and monitor floor set samples. Assist with tracking problem alerts from the Distribution Center (DC).
EDUCATION: High School
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2-4 Years
