Program Overview
The Company Center Internship Program (CCIP) is an internship program based at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA The program is designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students who come from a variety of sourcing channels, including on-campus career fairs, partner organizations, and direct applications. In this role you will immerse yourself into the Company culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Comcasters. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers. As an intern in the program, you would expect to work a 30-40 hour/week schedule.
Additionally, your experience will include:
• Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units at Company during your cooperative experience
• Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of an organization at the cutting edge of media and technology.
• Professional development: You will be exposed to a variety of professional development topics facilitated through our partners at Company University and senior leaders within the organization. These sessions are inclusive of speaker series, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities.
• Mentorship: Mentoring from fellow colleagues through the Empowering Future Leaders Program (EFLP) to help you navigate your experience, provide coaching, and expand your professional network.
• Fun: Continuously develop relationships with fellow interns through social activities, community building, and networking.
Role Overview
The Product Planning & Strategy team provides strategic and quantitative insights and recommendations for all Consumer Services business units at Company including the Video, Voice, Data and Home Security & Automation business units. We look closely at the Consumer Media and Cable TV market place (services, competitors, and customer demand) to produce analysis and insights that set national pricing/packaging strategies and product development priorities.
The Intern will support the Product Planning & Strategy team on core new product, packaging, and research initiatives. Interns will also be involved in: marketplace analysis, consumer analytics, technology forecasting, business model profiling, competitive benchmarking and new product launch planning.
This is a dynamic role that provides participants with significant cross-functional and senior leadership exposure in all Company business units. Interns will be able to contribute to the launch of new consumer products and services at Company. Interns have been successful after completion of their internship, going on to successful full-time roles in marketing, consumer analytics, strategy consulting, and other fields.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:
• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university with the Grad year of 2018 or 2019 (Sophomores, & Juniors).
• Major: Statistics, Finance, Business Management, MIS, Economics major preferred
• Minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
• Must be a creative problem solver, with an orientation towards problem solving via quantitative analysis
• Good organizational skills & detail-oriented
• Very strong MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel)
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and utilize emerging technologies
• Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries
• Ability to work on a team.
• Authorized to work in the United States of America.
