Product Planner, Home Entertainment
Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the United Kingdom immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the United Kingdom.
Part of the International Supply Chain team based in London, the Product Planner is responsible for leading key processes in the management of the production activity within the International Supply Chain team.
The core activities of the Product Planner include:
• Managing the programming of releases for UK and EMEA licensing throughout the pre-production and pre-release processes
• Managing master data for home entertainment products in SPHE systems
• Driving the new release critical path to order call-off
• Management of master data integrity for catalogue products
• Supporting the Finance and Supply Chain function to maximize profit across the SPHE SKU range through the management of the Cost of Goods (COGs)
The Product Planner also supports Company Home Entertainments
International territories (worldwide licensees and European JV/ JO and operating territories) in the management of shared bill-of-material parts and finished goods to optimise supply chain capacity and manufacturing cost.
Key to the success of this area of responsibility is being a pro-active business partner internally and externally, managing relationships and deadlines across multiple disciplines and having an excellent focus on detail and master data integrity.
Core Responsibilities will include:
40% Operational Activity:
• Support SPHE, DADC and GPS functions to enable the smooth execution of title programming, master data management and new release activities for the UK, Benelux and EMEA Licensees
• Responsible for final approval on Bill of Materials submissions/Bill of Materials builds for the Licensees and communicating updates to the Licensees.
• Produce SKU set-up templates for required SKUs for master data set-up in system.
• Manage SKU master data into SPHE ranging system PRISM, including pricing.
• Manage Pricing List in excel and communicate to stakeholders within SPHE and DADC per the “manage catalogue” RASCI model.
• Manage the removal of SKUs in PRISM as directed by internal management
• Manage and share updated trackers and SKU lists to stakeholders as directed by SPHE
• Issue Deletions Notices
• Support the optimisation of Cost of Goods through process improvements and value engineering based on selling price and cost price analysis
30% Compliance, Reporting and Process Management:
• Ongoing updating and maintenance of reports:
• Master Release Schedule
• Pricing List
• Deletions Notice
• Ensure all data is correct and reflects changes in PRISM
• Monitoring of interface feeds between PRISM & OASYS, including the daily review of reports from PRISM and OASYS, daily SKU report and PRISM MDM Daily SKU report to ensure accurate interfaces and rectify any issues.
• Monitor and update Business Process Documents and Policies and Approvals document, working with relevant DADC and SPHE stakeholders to publish version updates
• Work with SPHE and DADC manufacturing to ensure SPHE benefit from optimal SKU configurations and associated costs of goods.
10% Business Planning:
• Manage Master Release schedule in excel
• Gather requirements to produce shelf ready product, including timeline, SKU(s), Value Added Services packaging, SKU price list, stickering
• Pro-actively liaise with SPHE marketing and international territories to enable adherence to critical paths and production schedules.
• Work closely with SPHE marketing and DADC GPS to ensure the timely management of SKU set-ups.
20% Relationship Management:
• Support the Licensees with query management, particularly in relation to the set-up of SKUs.
• Liaise with Home Office Programming, Title Manager and International Creative Services groups to set and monitor critical timings of all component elements required for production.
• Ensure a collaborative and responsive approach to internal customers/functions, including the licensee Commercial team, Marketing and Finance.
Preferred Qualifications and/or Experience:
Experience
• Typically 3-4 years’ experience within an analytical and business partnering role.
• Knowledge of processes and systems used for handling large and complex data sets and extracting meaningful information.
• Understanding of customer service.
• Understanding of Supply Chain/Value Chain Optimisation (manufacturing, distribution services, S&OP, forecasting, budgeting, KPI management).
• Understanding of the physical home entertainment retail landscape and current trends and challenges.
• Understanding of managing vendor relationships.
