Product Marketing Director, Company for Commerce
The Company Commerce Cloud team is looking for a product marketing director who is dynamic, creative, and has great interpersonal skills to help differentiate and grow our business. This sought after individual will help us deliver compelling and differentiated messages, position us effectively vs. the competition and help us hit it out of the park with our business goals.
A big part of the job will include a deep understanding of our product offerings, creating compelling presentations that convey our vision and strategy, understanding market needs and trends, and collaborating with campaigns to deliver innovative marketing programs to grow bookings and customer adoption. This role is primarily focused on connecting Commerce Cloud's go-to-market efforts to the other Company clouds, e.g., Sales, Marketing, Community, Service, etc. This will involve being a liaison with other Company clouds, to find opportunities to make Commerce Cloud part of their messaging and go-to-market efforts. It will also involve leveraging other clouds to create a larger message and offering for Commerce Cloud sales and marketing teams to use in their go-to-market efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the challenges that key buyer personas of digital and store commerce solutions (e.g., VP of E-Commerce, VP of Omni Channel, CMO, VP of Marketing, E-Commerce Director. VP Store, VP Retail) face across the Commerce Cloud products and how address those challenges particularly as it relates to the other clouds.
• Liaise with other Company cloud product marketing teams to find opportunities to make Commerce Cloud part of their go-to-market efforts
• Develop product positioning and messaging for Commerce Cloud that weaves in other Company clouds' messages and value proposition
• Create compelling and easy to understand presentations to convey our vision for the market, product strategy, features, benefits and more
• Create inspiring and compelling product demos and customer videos to use for events and web marketing
• Communicate the value proposition of the combination of Commerce Cloud with other clouds to teams involved in go-to-market efforts across the company
• Lead the go-to-market launch of a solution combining Commerce Cloud with other Company clouds
• Partner with the Web and campaigns teams to drive Web site strategy, messaging, content, SEO and measure and optimize performance
• Enable the sales teams at all levels on our value proposition and messaging
• Work closely with product team, both to understand strategic direction of Commerce Cloud and to influence the direction of the roadmap through your understanding of the market and buyer needs.
• Work closely with other marketing teams to make sure their field plans are infused with rich knowledge about assigned products, target markets and buyers
• Drive our presence at company and third party events, including strategy & planning, content & messaging, and measurement & analysis.
• Work closely with other product marketers to ensure positioning and messaging meshes with that of other solutions to create a "whole greater than the sum of its parts" effect across Commerce Cloud's entire platform
• Identify, develop and/or manage the creation of a variety of content types - written, videos, presentations, etc. -- as needed to fuel sales and marketing success
• In general, serve as the internal champion of assigned solutions, letting nothing get in the way of achieving the go-to-market goals of assigned solution
Requirements:
• 7+ years of product marketing experience (enterprise software, SaaS and/or retail experience a plus)
• Experience developing graphically interesting and compelling presentations and collateral. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote and Photoshop a plus
• Experience working at Company
• Very strong communication skills -- verbal and written
• Strong public speaking skills and experience presenting to small and large audiences
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, fast-growing, ever-changing environment
• Self-starter - able to determine own path to success, rather than needing extensive direction
• Strong interpersonal skills - a blend of firmness and conviction with diplomacy and a constructive attitude
• Willing to travel 20%
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
