Ellation is seeking a Director level team member to lead Product Marketing. This is a rare opportunity to coordinate a scaled product in Company, while also facing the exciting challenge of helping to build the VRV platform from the ground up.
This individual will be expected to drive and collaborate on business strategy, develop and pitch strong business cases for new product ideas, will own the positioning and messaging of new product features, and will coordinate all go-to-market activities across product, marketing, operations, legal, customer support and more to ensure the effective launch, promotion, and marketing of Ellation products.
We are looking for a strong culture fit… someone who is highly motivated, ambitious, eager to grow, and excited by a startup environment. Candidates should be passionate about media with a proven track record launching and marketing technology products at scale.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for owning the end to end product marketing pipeline beginning with writing strong business requirements, defining positioning and messaging of new features, communicating release details, coordinating the go-to-market plan and measuring the impact of new features after release
• Partnering with product to define new features and design KPIs that can be A/B tested to validate a feature’s success or failure
• Collaborating with marketing peers to layout the end-to-end go to market plan including paid promotion, events, press, and social media
• Working cross-functionally to disseminate internal communication to all stakeholders including customer service, operations, executive leadership, and more
• Ensuring that messaging across the various user-facing channels, such as app stores and site placements, is consistent with the product positioning and aligned with the brand
• Participate in market research to help the definition of user personas
• Support product evangelization through demonstrations at CES and other major industry events and drive awareness through early access pre-release demonstrations of the product for influential writers, reviewers and publications under embargo agreements
Requirements:
• 8-12 years experience in a product marketing leadership role preferably at a leading technology company
• Experience working with product, marketing, and legal organizations
• Experience coordinating multiple teams within complex, matrixed organizations
• Ability to deliver clear business requirements as part of product planning
• Proven ability to own KPIs and quickly determine success or failure of an initiative through data-driven analyses A demand for excellence in all forms of communication
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
