The Company Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology.
Position Description:
Joining the Products and Services team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the integration of new and existing leading edge wireless services with Company Mobility’s handset lineup. The preferred candidate will require a technical background with a broad understanding of the mobile industry. This candidate will be play a key roll in ensuring services such as Music, IM, MMS, RCS, TV, Downloads etc. are integrated in Company Mobility handsets and smartphones. The candidate will work closely with their counterparts in Mobile Device Product Marketing and Wireless Technology Development to ensure the successful launch of best in market services and handsets. Company Mobility is looking for a highly motivated, talented individual, preferably with some related experience in a wireless or high technology company, who is interested in being part of an energetic team working in the field of wireless communications. The candidate should be a self-starter with excellent relationship-building skills, passionate for simplification, resourceful, and comfortable when working cross functionally or with different levels of the organization.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
• Develop handset requirements for all elements related to the handset user experience (user interface, menu structures, operability etc)
• Develop business requirements for all elements related to the handset features
• Create strategy for services/applications to be preloaded on devices and update based on usage criteria
• Assume responsibility for the knowledge of product feature sets, services, and customer experience
• Work alongside Company’s Product Marketing and Wireless Technology teams to track execution and progress of handset service requirements of each new handset
• Understand technical specifications of wireless products and applications
• Attend technical meetings to track progress of new products and applications through certification.
• Understanding of competitive products and services
• Communicate customers' wants / needs to management through their own initiative and upon request
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
• Candidate must possess some knowledge on handset operability such as user interface, customer experience, menu structure and customer behaviour.
• Candidate will possess some business operations experience with strong business case creation and technical skills.
• Candidate must possess knowledge on handset feature sets such as Bluetooth, DRM, downloads, multimedia player, streaming video/music etc.
• Must be able to work under pressure and to produce deliverables within tight deadlines.
• Team player with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
• University degree (preference: Company website. in Computer Science/Engineering with specialization in communications), professional certification or designation, and related working experience
• Well developed consultative and presentation skills
• Knowledge of strategic planning and ability to communicate strategies, plans and results effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
