Position Summary:
The Producer, Content Curation is in charge of identifying and curating excellent Company website producer works with sports content, and from a variety of sources -- podcasts, radio broadcasts, television broadcasts, and other digital media -- picks out and packages the most interesting moments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Curate sports content and grow a community around that content.
• Discover/identify relevant audio content from both inside and outside SiriusXM.
• Cut that audio content into social, consumable pieces.
• Write engaging headlines and descriptions for the audio content.
• Assign metadata to the content.
• Upload the content into a content management system.
• Organize and curate the content into meaningful listening experiences
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience with content curation.
• Application of excellent judgment skills in knowing which content should have the greatest visibility and priority at any given moment.
• Expert understanding of sports and sports content.
• Expert internet research skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Ability to write clean and creative copy, and craft headlines that make people on Facebook want to click and share.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Adobe Audition a plus.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a plus.
• Experience in a content management system a plus.
