Position Summary:
Aveda, America’s premier creator and marketer of plant-based haircare, skincare, make-up, PureFume™ and lifestyle products seeks a Process Coordinator to support the Production Supervisor in ensuring all production lines and their crews are working at optimum performance. Coordinate and execute the filling and assembly of products in a manner consistent with the manufacturing department’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor crew members to adhere to established safe work practices (Start up meeting, BBS participation, stretching…).
• Mentor crew members to utilize proper ergonomic related equipment.
• Proactively identify and report and or correct any safety related issues.
• Share ideas to eliminate work place injuries through Supervisor, suggestion box…
• Actively supports Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Perform interactive start up meeting to ensure all Critical Control Points have been covered.
• Accurately perform and document all quality checks (including PPM) required throughout the run.
• Take samples and label for appropriate QA lab.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) per company policies.
• Communicate any quality challenges with the appropriate team members and Supervisor.
• Actively drive and support process improvement though sharing ideas to improve quality.
• Help Machine Operator communicate efficiency expectations to the Packagers and temporary workers.
• Accurately perform and document all efficiency checks for each process order.
• Assist in the monitoring and reporting of all material usage.
• Ensure component accuracy.
• Responsible and accountable for the execution of SAP transactions along with all production paper work.
• Close out packet and review with Supervisor to ensure accuracy.
• Assist and participate with the Machine Operator in all crew activities (putting up components, capping, packing…) as necessary.
• Drive efficiency improvements though submitting Process Change Request forms.
• Mentor crew members to follow all recycling policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
2+ years experience in filling or packaging environment
