JOB PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Private Bank Credit Manager, perform credit reviews, tax analysis and spreadsheets of financial statements for new commercial loan requests and periodic renewals of assigned segments of the Bank’s loan portfolio. Maintain financial trend cards to monitor on an ongoing basis the financial condition of the borrower and compliance with loan covenants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze financial data including credit information from other sources, lenders and credit reporting agencies. • Perform financial spreads and tax analysis for new commercial loan requests and periodic renewals for assigned segments of the Bank’s loan portfolio. • Follow the ITI tracking system to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and loan covenants. • Function as a resource and provide technical assistance to lenders and support services and make recommendations for loan approval while ensuring minimal risk exposure • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Company corporate culture in all actions and words. • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. • Embraces our vision to become "The World's Greatest Bank." • May perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree with a preference for Business, Finance, Accounting or economics. • Minimum 3 years of relevant credit analysis and underwriting experience • Strong written ability to organize credit memorandums and craft a clear and compelling document with minimal supervision. • Detailed knowledge of financial statement, balance sheet and cash flow analysis. • A strong motivation to execute and deliver a high degree of customer service to the Bank’s highly valued client base. • Working knowledge of GAAP and relevant lending regulations • A demonstrable knowledge of a variety of commercial, real estate and consumer loan products with a track record of strong analytical problem-solving skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. • Ability to act as an information source for Private Bankers and other support associate . • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
