Presentation Scheduler, TV Networks (12 Month Contract)

Overview:
Company Television (SPT) Networks operates branded entertainment channels around the world. The channels offer high quality film and television content from Company and third party distributors, as well as original content commissioned globally and locally.
The Presentation Scheduler role is a key part of the SPT channels operation. This role works on a rotation between the territory scheduling desks, in order to become familiar with all channels.
The Scheduling team creates and delivers daily presentation playlists for SPT's London-based Western Europe channels, which cover General Entertainment, Kids, Movies and Music genres. Playlists are based on programme plans created by colleagues in the channel teams and drive channels originating from SPT's various playout partners.
The team is also responsible for other key transmission-related data feeds, including listings, EPG data, as-runs, commercial break files, music reports, etc.
Working under the guidance of and reporting to territory Scheduling Supervisor, the main responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:
• Running presentation scheduling for SPT’s channels using relevant scheduling software and systems (IBMS).
• Liaising with On-Air and Playout to ensure smooth planning and operation of daily programming grid coordinated with technical scheduling requirements.
• Exporting daily and monthly programming grids for listings distribution partners (e.g. Global Listings).
• Creating daily presentation schedules with full inventory of advertising & channel branding for 2 UK channels.
• Liaising with transmission suite over successful uploading of presentation schedules and to attend to matters arising.
• Viewing all on-air materials to ensure they comply with the brand specification and OFCOM regulations.
• Liaising with On Air, Sales and Marketing teams and third parties to ensure commercials, sponsorship and cross-promotions are processed accordingly.
• Producing commercial transmission reports for global and regional ad sales and marketing.
• Keeping up to date with knowledge of OFCOM compliance regulations.
• Interpreting audience research and liaising with territory team regarding performance.
• Collaborating with the scheduling team and with all channel teams, to provide advice and support to regional offices.
• Contributing to the optimisation of the scheduling work flow, to ensure a reliable and time efficient operation of the channel.
• Keeping up to date with any changes in digital media consumption, and creating ideas for exploiting them to the benefit of the channel.
Requirements
• Typically 1- 2 years TV scheduling experience, preferably in an international, multi-channel environment.
• Experience with relevant scheduling software and systems (Vision) (XPA desirable/music scheduling system).
• Knowledge of OFCOM compliance regulations
• Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team.
• Understanding of the local TV/media business and overall industry trends in channels and programming.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of overall channel positioning objective and desired on-air look.
• Ability to interpret audience research and liaise with territory team regarding performance.
• Ability to contributes to the optimisation of a scheduling work flow, to ensure a reliable and time efficient operation of a channel.
• Must have a passion for television.
