Company Internships
At Company our internships offer visibility, hands-on learning, and practical work experience in a fun, friendly environment. We are committed to challenging and developing creative, hardworking students through a variety of interesting projects and responsibilities to supplement the student’s classroom training. Interns are encouraged to explore, develop and share their ideas while gaining valuable experience in the entertainment industry.
Internships are for college/university course credit only and are unpaid. Interns must provide documentation confirming receipt of course credit before starting the internship. Company does not provide housing or relocation assistance.
Required Skills:
What you’ll be doing:
• Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions
• Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software and application software
• Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needs
• Monitor antivirus software and updates and repair computers infected with spyware, adware and/or viruses
• Monitor backup systems and procedures to ensure data security
• Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment
• Consult with vendors, perform research and evaluate products to assist in the selection and purchase of equipment and installation or upgrade of systems
• Maintains open communication and positive working relationship with staff
• Perform other duties/projects as assigned
What we’re looking for:
• A minimum of three years of post-secondary education in a related field
• A high level of attention to detail is required
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
• Problem solving and critical thinking with proactive initiative to go the extra mile to maintain high quality standards in diverse work environments
• Demonstrated security awareness and attention to the management of confidential information
• May work under direct supervision or independently
• Excellent communication skills, moderate to high level IT skills
• Linux, Unix, Python, PHP and After Effects a plus
• Long hours, some late evening and weekend work is expected to support production deadlines
