The Career Development & Employability team, in partnership with instructors, partners and schools across North America, provides learners from high school through adult, with the skills, competencies, credentials and behaviors required to succeed in college or chosen career path. This team is responsible for developing and delivering learning content in new and innovative digital formats, creating cutting-edge learning applications that collect data and use predictive capabilities to provide personalized learning and improve learner outcomes, particularly in a learner’s progression to employment.
• Develop deep discipline and market knowledge in Non-Degree programs to drive product development and product bundling decisions
• Assess North American market demand for both print and digital opportunities across the portfolio.
• Establish portfolio business case and deliver portfolio/product mix and related KPIs including financial performance, gross profit contribution, and learner outcomes.
• Develop business case for Non-Degree offer including courseware, services, and pricing.
• Exhibit strong understanding of competitive offers and ability to create and articulate a solution with a strong, profitable value proposition for the customer in comparison to the competition.
• Working in collaboration with Business Development, scout for new partners and distribution channels to build a strong future product pipeline.
• Manage revisions and new product development including re-imagining existing content to drive digital innovation.
• Collaborate with Employability team members and work as part of a matrix across Company to recommend discipline relevant technology road map improvements, and the customer and learner requirements needed to deliver on the value proposition.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to define learner outcomes and align content and product features to those outcomes.
Travel as needed for focus groups, conferences, events, and off-site visits to develop market insights, strengthen educator community network and drive revenue performance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• At least 3-5 years of relevant sales, marketing or product development experience. Higher education experience preferred.
• Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize multiple viewpoints into actionable plans
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate effectively for diverse audiences.
• Intellectually curious with a passion for education and a keen focus on the learner.
• Creative problem solver who uses data to inform decisions.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of or ability to learn how to create reports, analyze and leverage labor market data using programs like Wanted Analytics and/or Burning Glass.
