We are searching for a photo editor who has a passion for the food and drink industry and wants to contribute to making our site’s presentation as beautiful as possible. Enthusiasm for the fast-paced environment of online media is key. We're looking for a go-getter, diligent deadline-maker, details person, and someone with a keen eye for flawless photography.
Responsibilities:
• Researching, sourcing, cropping, and editing approximately 70 photos a day for Company website and Company website. This includes 5-6 slideshows of 10 photos or more per day, Including research on stock images or creative commons and reaching out to various other sources for images. In addition, each of our six channels publishes at least one monthly tentpole story, ranging from 25 to 101 slides.
• Managing all rights and permissions for all photos on the website and its shared content platforms, reaching out to restaurants, public relations agents, and other sources for images, and creating spreadsheets with contacts for future use.
• Training new editors in photo sourcing and usage guidelines
• Maintaining and enhancing an archival photo library for editorial use
• Ensuring correct photo credits and licensingWorking closely with the Social Media team to develop and promote photo-based social media stories, especially on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram
• Sourcing special project photos
• Editing / swapping photos that are pixelated or have other problems
• Satisfying photo requests from the marketing department
• Produce and execute all photo shoots for in-house events, cooking demos,recipes and more
Qualifications:
• Experience researching and editing photos for a web site
• Knowledge of photo stock sites, agencies, and contract terms
• Photography skills
• Network of freelance photographers
• Resourcefulness in obtaining high-quality photos on a limited budget
