Team Profile
The Equity Derivatives Confirmation Team consist of documentation specialists split across Singapore, London, New York ,Mumbai and Chennai. The London Equity Drafting team is responsible for all aspects of the Confirmation process for exotic trades including Outgoing Drafting, Incoming Checking and Query Resolution. The team performs a critical control involving drafting confirmations for the full range of exotic equity products traded by the Equity Derivatives business within ISDA guidelines. This includes ensuring that the Confirmation matches the economic terms on the term sheet and also the trade booked in our transaction system.
In addition to the industry guidelines and definitions it is the responsibility of each member of the team to ensure that we adhere to the internal Company controls and guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities
The candidate will be a strong SME within the team and will focus on the drafting of the exotic trades executed by the business. Knowledge of Equity derivative products, front to back flow for OTC Equity Derivative products is essential.
The ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal clients is paramount. The role requires the sharing and discussing of knowledge between the group. The role is not for an individual to manage a group however you will be in constant contact with other areas within Company and will need to manage/prioritise your requests. Team play and leadership are always desirable. Your ability to pick up a problem / reconcile risk/docs when you are busy will show you have the drive to work in this environment.
Qualifications
Skills required
Good understanding of the Derivative products and in particular solid understanding and experience in confirmations. Specific Equity Derivatives knowledge is required.
Proven documentation experience, drafting exotic confirmations for at least two of the Equity products.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Accuracy, attention to detail, good organisation skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, should be accurate, knowledgeable and professional.
